Hey Riot Grrrls!
We have some exciting news–we are going to be at the L.A. Zine Fest this year. We are so excited to be able to be apart of this awesome fest this year, and both Nicolette and I will be there. If you are planning on going, be sure to stop by our table, and check our our wares. We will be selling paper copies of Breaking the Grrrl, and other riot grrrl merch like stickers, buttons, and other cool stuff.
Nicolette and I have had a busy summer, and now that our adult children are all back in school or busy preparing for what comes next in their lives, we are finally going to be able to have our own lives back. I wish that I could say we now have time to spend our days lying on our couches, eating bonbons Peg Bundy style… but then I would have to worry about being struck down by lightning.
We are busy with updates and rewrites on the Riot Grrrl Musical script–which we’ve heard from those who have read it that it is REALLY good–as well as pre-production activities so we can get this bad ass musical on the stage. We’ve been updating the website, and expanding our online presence by creating a Riot Grrrl Musical TikTok page and a Breaking the Grrrl Substack page. I’m sure we’ll get around to a Riot Grrrl Musical Substack at some point, but right now we are planning on launching both a podcast and a YouTube channel next year. So, yeah. We’ve been busy little bees.
Also, Nicolette and I both want to take a moment and thank every one who supports our project and community. We are both amazed and in awe of how fast our community is growing–you guys are fucking amazing!! Thanks to you, we have almost 1000 followers on Instagram!!
Until next time, keep on rioting!
