Sometimes, the only way to be heard… is to make noise.

Hey Riot Grrrls!

Dropping by to touch base with you while I chill in my back yard on what is a beautiful Southern California day. I’ve been rather busy with stuff at home this past month, and there also hasn’t been anything new to report, so I figured I’d just wait until I had some announcements or news for you.

Nicolette & Sirena working on the script on Cinco de Mayo

The Musical

Nicolette is currently in Las Vegas to see a concert, but before she headed out there, she spent a few days here in SoCal so we could hang out and get some writing done. It’s always nice when we can get together in person to work on the script. In the photo above, we were waiting on Door Dash to bring us our tacos, and running a fine-toothed comb through Act 1 to make sure everything is flowing and working and free of plot holes. We’ve also been working on song lyrics, since we need like 25 million songs to make a musical. Just kidding. More like 25-30, but that’s still a lot. Music is more Nic’s expertise than mine, but I’m taking a stab at writing some of the lyrics. I’m definitely better at listening to music than making it, so it’s probably best if I stick to blogging and publishing zines.

The Zine

I want to give a quick thanks to everyone who submitted their work for the upcoming Volume 1, Issue 2 of Breaking The Grrrl. We got A LOT of submissions–and everyone will get their proper shout outs and thank yous when the issue drops on June 1–so this issue is going to stuffed full of good things. I am super excited!! Because of all the submissions, this issue is officially full, so anything sent in after reading this will go in the autumn issue (Volume 1, Issue 3).

And while we’re on the subject of the zine, it has it’s own Instagram account now. You can find it HERE or with the QR code below…

That’s all I’ve got for you this time.

Keep on rioting!
