Hi Everyone!
The past couple of weeks have been exciting because we got over two hundred new followers on Instagram, several new subscribers to our website, and released the first issue of Breaking The Grrrl. It makes me so happy to see that there are quite a few people interested in this musical, errr, anti-musical.
THE MUSICAL
Our last two Zoom meetings have been very productive. Along with our tea spilling and moments where one of us runs to grab a snack–I’ve gotta have my snacks–the script is coming along. We are aiming to have it finished by summer. As you can see below, we are very hard at work.
Nicolette has put up several posts about our two protagonists on our Instagram page, but if you have not yet met our two protagonists, I would like to introduce you to Ryann and Harlow… These two girls are amazing young ladies and we cannot wait to see them brought to life on the stage.
Harlow got a full page introduction in the first issues Breaking The Grrrl this week and Ryann will get one in our next issue.
THE ZINE
Our first issue of Breaking The Grrrl dropped on March 1, and so far, it seems to be doing well. In fact, Nicolette and I are being interviewed this morning by Jen Weinstein, the host of The Midlife Edit podcast about the zine. We will post the interview on the Riot Report page when we get a link for it.
The second issue is going to drop on June 1, so there is plenty of time for you to submit something, or to talk your friends into submitting something.
